Finally my favorite
holiday is here! Well, one out of two at least - Christmas is closing in.
At this
time my home is already full of decorations – sculls, bats, Jack Skellington thingies
and so on! Some of I´ve bought and some of it I´ve made by myself and when the
big day comes, me and Mr. M are decorated from head to toe!
In this page you’ll be able to find some explanations and just plain pictures that might inspire you on what to do when preparing a party, decorating your house. Or to figure out what you’re going to wear to make a scare…

Makings out of what you´ve got at home
A couple of Halloweens back, I had ideas about how I wanted
to decorate for the party we were throwing. My one problem was that I didn’t have
the materials so I made Salt dough,
in Sweden we call it Trolldeg – translates to Goblin dough (good fit for Halloween, right!).
To make your own Salt dough, just klick the name and you’ll find a good recipe, the difference between this recipie and the one I used is that I put a little bit of oil in it to, about 1 msk.

To find it in Swedish, just klick the green name and you´ll be there!

I don’t know
if this Is “kids friendly”.. But it’s decorations
and fun!
You can´t have to much bone stuff! Thank you Google for detailed pictures! |
.. It´s
kind of hard to have to many body parts laying around as well!
Half painted, and yet things to be made |
Pierced ear |
I will bring you a "I´m done with the fingers" picture to later on.

There are still lots of simple and fun ways to make decorations without the mess part, so if you’ve got beads, paper & pens, Styrofoam or cardboard and paint – this is what I can contribute with..

Beads then
Even if it´s Halloween, a regular day or Christmas – there is nothing like geeky and Mario decorations!
I didn’t make this myself but got it from a friend.. Maybe you can look at and count the beads to make one for your own.. (It glows in the dark to)

Paper and pens
Who is better for Halloween then our Jack Skellington!!?
At the moment, he´s all over the tiles in my bathroom and
he´s supposed to be in a frame as well.. But he kind of ran away!
Bats bats bats
There are more classics that can be made to! Some of these are made in lack of black paper – white paper and black paint, the ones at the top in the pic to the left are made with black paper. It didn’t take as much time to make them as it did with the other ones.
So if you got no time – Cut
bats in black paper!

Styrofoam
Thank the
big companies for bringing our things packed in boxes filled with Styrofoam! It’s
paintable, easy to cut in and if you’re lucky it comes in big shapes!
I made this with a utility knife that I cut out the parts I had drawn on the Styrofoam, then black and white paint came in handy!
